Descriptions:
The 3 x AA Battery Holder with Switch puts a nice finishing touch on your battery powered project. This holder features a removable sliding cover which can be secured with a small phillips head screw. Another bonus is the ON/OFF switch which can be used to control power to your project. The leads are about 150mm (5.6”), and are tinned. It can provide about 4.5V(3 x 1.5V) Voltage power for your project.
Battery holder for three AA cells. When you need a portable 4.5V power pack, this holder will do the job! This would make a fantastic power and long lasting power pack for LED projects.
Batteries are not included, can be used with any AA-sized, regular, Alkaline or Rechargeable batteries.
When used to run a separate LED, you should use a series dropping resistor inline with the batter pack. Use the chart below to select the correct dropping resistor (see our dropping resistor calculator for connection details).
For a Red, Orange or Candle Flicker LED, use a 130 ohm resistor
For a White, Green, Blue, Yellow or color changing LED, you should use a 75 to 100 ohm resistor
